I'm pretty sure that the Illinois Prarie Path is on the right of way of the old Chicago Great Western main line. Nice catch, Joe!

The Illinois Prairie Path is on the former right-of-way of the Chicago, Aurora & Elgin. The former right-of-way of the
Chicago Great Western now is home to the Great Western Trail.
My father grew up in a house along the Elgin branch of the CA&E just to the right of the picture.
