Mass Transit Railway, thats an awesome name. Must have spent millions thinking of it... When i first saw that browsing, I thought it was a mag-lev or something along those lines b/c it looks like the rail core is filled in.

Mass Transit Railway should only be nothing more than a normal name when the construction project was initiated in 1960s. However the name was used continuously from Provisional Mass Transit Railway Corporation, Mass Transit Railway Corporation and now, MTR Corporation Limited.
