No kidding (#s) ... there was even another red number on the top of the back of the long hood, right above the number boards ... which, oddly, they occasionally painted through with grey/armour yellow/red stripe (and no #!)

Havn't seen a military consist since the early 50's when 29 Palm Marines were headed for Camp Pendleton and then Korea. I am interested in which flat cars are in the photo.
