Wow cool catch. The blue Conrail horns will probably remain... I always see pics w/ them still intact even after the engine has been repainted. So do they actually pain the NS logo on the side? Or is it some sort of like decal?

Actually, the horns are painted black. That is just a blue nylon screened dust / ice cover placed over the opening. Here is a link to the loco before the Horsehead logo was removed: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=81440

This engine was tagged on the conductor's side while working on Conrail Shared Assets in Metuchen, NJ during the summer of 2005 and was floating around Jersey for about three months before someone finally blacked out the side of the engine.
