Interesting ... on AC 6000s in the US, the air tanks sit above the fuel tank, resulting in a step in the walkway
on the engineer's side of the engine. On these export models, the air tanks are in notch on the fuel tank, like on AC4400's and C44-9Ws.

No sir, the tanks are for the air brakes.
