How i love that hill. Right where it all comes back together and the south track runs sumwhat under you, with the silverwood connecter joining in right there. How is the plant life on the hill? Are they lush and green? I know the man who maintains them and whenever we visit "the hill" we bring a 6 pack of water and give back. lol kinda corny but i guess its a railfan thing.

Hi Tim, I agree, it's a fantastic place, a favorite in Cajon along with The Garden. The plants seemed to be doing very well when I was there early last month. No trouble with summit security either. Thanks for the comment. Regards, Jim

Yes the summit security has a very strange way of choosing who stays and who goes. I know people who have had the same intentions as i did, just to railfan. Security comes up and pops them outta there. And lets me off scott free or vise-versa. And thats good to hear about the plants and the garden is a very nicely maintained place too. Probably my 2 favorite spots on the pass. One thing that has had me and some other fans going is whether the commercial-like lights at summit are on at night.???
