Gee... I thought UP's digital locomotive management system was supposed to prevent such wasteful moves. ;-)
Back in 7-94, I was up on Archer Hill east of Cheyenne one Tuesday morning and the weekly power-balancing move from Oakland came through... 17 units, all UP except for one CSX!
The great thing about these shots is that they justify running tons of locomotives on my model railroad... even if there aren't enough cars!
