Ha ... great consist! Could it perhaps be an "extra" from Indianapolis of recently-repaired cars? Nice catch.

yup... Hoosier state, the Heritage car with blanked out windows is car 10040 and is used as a "Buffer" between bilevel and single-level cars. I think the phoographer knows, but for anybody else who is scratching their heads Amtrak's "Hoosier State" actually only runs with one or two Horizon Cars for revenue, but since it runs between Amtrak's biggest hub/yard and their primary maintainance Facility (Beech Grove Indiana) it often will ferry long mixed consists of cars and/or locos which are either freshly repaired (Westbound) or are in need of mechanical work (EastBound) with it.
