OK,here I go,again. I am not interested in going to Mars so tell NASA to get started on something even better that all of us would really like to be able to do if we chose to, . . . . . a time tunnel . Dont get me wrong space exploration is very far out sometimes I think that about some people like ,did you just get back from Neptune June? My bosses look at me and some of them think I just got off the recently rejected rejects from the Orion Constellation,I tell them no because I can read their facial expressions and they are shocked. Well anyway this picture is great Craig.I grew up in this area and the train station was always a neat place to go bike riding around and expand our horizons since we had wheels. The slogans on some othe older boxcars were always interesting to us and we wondered where in the world is the Main line of mid America , or the Route of the Eagles , Ship it on the Frisco,we wondered where in the heck is the Cotton Belt Route ? Rock Island,Route of the Rockets. I thought wow what a big world, I sure m glad somebody invented the wheel. Could the first human flight at Kitty Hawk got off the ground w/o the wheel. We would always stop in Chinatown for some hot or spicy ginger and roll on our way having a great time with friends. Chinatown was a block away. We would watch the trains headed into the long tunnel .They used to have a restaurant in the train station that turned into a model railroad HO scale of the Seattle to Wenatchee route over the pass, both are gone now, bummer. That tall black bldg there was called the box the space needle came in,a bank of course. These pictures bring back the old memories, and a glimpse into the passed past.
