Wow, still using control stands on the new units! It's suprising that they've gone to widecabs, but no desktops, oh well.

Thats for the simple fact NS still at times runs their units long hood forward, which a desktop will not work good for that because the engineer can't contol the train safely that way, the cab signal style used is UCII CCA type.
