After unfortunately striking and killing a trespasser in the Poughkeepsie area, the daily Selkirk to Oak Point freight ended up tying down in Beacon for the night. The following morning they’d receive a crew at 0900 hours and would make a rare journey down almost the entire Metro North section of the Hudson Line in Daylight. Here they are ripping south through Scarborough.
All of my photos documenting the various freight operations in New York City and surrounding area, all the way from obscure subway moves to the regular freight operations that run this city.
