This day that began with me watching the migrating Sandhill Cranes in 27ºF (-2.77ºC) predawn darkness, to photographing this Union Pacific westbound in 77ºF (25ºC) sun – a span of 50º (22.23ºC)!.

This freight train, powered by UP AC4400CW 6619, AC4400CW 5613, AC4400CW 6192 (ex-SP 151), AC4400CW 7172, GP40 1442 (originally WP 3533), SD40-2 1768 (ex-CNW 6826) and ES44AC 8086, is traveling down the UP's Kearney Sub.
