Ag Valley Co-op 7517, one of two diesels assigned to the grain elevator in Edison ME, was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in November 1957 as Pennsylvania Railroad GP9 7148. Upon the merger of PRR with the New York Central, it became Penn Central 7148 and, later still, when the PC was part of the larger Conrail merger, it took on its third identity: CR 7148. In 1978, CR sent it to Morrison-Knudsen for rebuilding, and it then became Conrail GP10 7517. It was eventually acquired by AGV, becoming AGVX 7517.
