Remarks & Notes
Once Santa Fe cantilever and overhead signal bridges littered the Marceline Sub between Fort Madison and Eton, MO, like what was once here. Nowadays standard GE power and new signals have really killed the curb appeal. To go along with the BNSF fuel conservation program and lack of priority, the old Santa Fe isn't what it used to be. However, it's the 1st day of peak season, and we have 4 units in the left corner burning money trying to get going, as they are a few miles west of Fort Madison and a crew change.
