| Late November heavy snowstorms aren't too common. On 11/29 over a foot of snow fell in the state. Colder temps this week kept most of the snow around too. I made out Wednesday to do something. I ran into the Oskaloosa Job heading out for Marshalltown on their normal afternoon trip south. The job was a hefty 70 cars and 3 units. The business seems to be good for the UP on this line. The main customer is the Cargill Plant at the end of the line near Eddyville. Here the job passes the Pickering Elevator complex on a single cold digital day. |
