On the double-track main line of the SBB between Olten, Solothurn, Biel, Neuchâtel, Yverdon-les-Bains, and Lausanne, there is still an about 2-kilometer-long single-track section at Lake Biel near Ligerz. A double-track tunnel is currently being built behind the village to eliminate this bottleneck. The ICN (Intercity tilting train) RABDe 500 # 024 “Ernst von Stockalper”, running as IC 520 of the line IC5 from Rorschach via St.Gallen-Winterthur-Zürich-Olten-Biel-Neuchâtel to Lausanne, just left the short single track segment at Ligerz. This is one of only two ICN trains yet, which got a large revision. On the left on the mountain slope ist the church of Ligerz/Gléresse.
