In February 2022, StadlerRail signed a framework agreement with ÖBB for a maximum of 186 double-deck “KISS” multiple units in various configurations. To date, 126 trains have been firmly ordered. These include three five-car “KISS200” trains for CAT (City Airport Train) and 20 six-car ‘Cityjet’ trains of the “KISS160” type. The different front ends are clearly visible in this photo. On the left is the six-car “Cityjet” 4736 # 101 for a maximum speed of 160 km/h, and on the right is the five-car “CAT” 4705 # 101 for a maximum speed of 200 km/h. The doors are also different, with either two-part or large single-part door leaves.
