| When the Reading & Northern completed the third leg of Nesquehoning Junction, it was touted as improvement to operational flexibility. While they likely meant for freight operations at the time, it's been a major part of allowing the return of the Rambles.
The junction allows for the entire consist to be turned along with the locomotive for the return trip to Reading in a timely manner. Plus, it makes for a great photo opportunity! |
