The self-propelled 0-6-0+0-6-0 “Rotary” steam snow blower X rot d # 9213 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1910 by SLM Winterthur for the then independent Bernina Railway, requires a crew of four. At the front behind the snow blower wheel, seen here, is the crew chief who directs operations. On the right, on the other side of the vehicle, is the operator of the snow blower wheel and steam engine. At the rear of the vehicle, behind the boiler, are two stokers responsible for feeding and supplying the boiler.
