Santa Fe Southern GP7 07 was built by EMD in August 1952 as Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 2744. The Santa Fe rebuilt it as a GP7u and numbered it ATSF 2234. It was sold to the Texas-New Mexico Railroad (as TNMR 2234), and it was eventually transferred to the Dallas Garland & Northeastern Railroad (DGNO 701) and, from there, to the Santa Fe Southern, where it became SFS 07.
Also visible is the old Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway depot in the railway's namesake town (well, technically, one of its three namesake towns) of Santa Fe, opened on February 9, 1880.
