With snow on the ground, rain falling, and high winds gusting through the region, the weather was downright miserable as the Buffalo & Pittsburgh's WAER rolls north nearing Erie, Pennsylvania. As the tracks skirt the edge of the Wintergreen Gorge, they swing around the bend to cross Shannon Road and then will run parallel to the Bayfront Connector to the CSX interchange.
