A quartet of Norfolk & Western C30-7s diesels, with 8010 on the point, bring a Norfolk Southern coal train into Norfolk, Virginia, on a gloomy Valentine's Day 1983. The N&W was merged with the Southern Railway to create the new Norfolk Southern Railway on June 1, 1982. It clearly took a while for all the locomotives on the roster to get repainted into the new NS image.
