Remarks & Notes
Santa Cruz, Big Trees and Pacific Railway Whitcomb 45-ton diesel 20 was retired in 1996 and stored. However, as of August 2022, the locomotive is being restored to operation for work train service.

This center-cab side-rod 50DE-58a 50 Ton diesel was built by Whitcomb Locomotive Works in February 1943 as USAX 17094 for use at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant. It was later transferred to the US Air Force, where it was assigned number USAF 7489. It was eventually moved to Felton, California. and was owned and operated by Pacific Cement & Aggregates (number unknown); then ended up at Lonestar Industries (numbered 5113) before being acquired by the Big Trees and Pacific as their number 20.
