| Southbound pig train, remember those? A "piggy packer" took most of the day to unload one. I guess that and tare weight killed pig trains. Did they ever consider 10 cranes or packers working at the same time? Sometimes the answer is not a faster airplane but a faster airport. Photo by Jim Satterwhite. From my collection. |
