A pair of Gulf Mobile & Ohio GP30s sit in Illinois Central Gulf's Iselin Yard awaiting their next assignments.
GM&O 513 was built by EMD in April 1963, a number it retained until retirement (primarily because successor ICG, formed in 1972, did not consider renumbering locomotives with their new ICG reporting mark a high priority) … it was sold for scrap to Pielet Brothers in June 1987.
GM&O 524 was built in September 1963, and it was eventually rebuilt into CSXT slug 2254.
