After a tragic event in the city of Porto Alegre, a massive flood that caused deaths and even included a horse remaining on a roof for four days before being rescued, the train system partially resumed operations after a long period of inactivity. This was due to flooding across much of the route between downtown Porto Alegre and Canoas la Salle. However, at the time the photo was taken, some sections were still closed. Currently, in 2025, the system is fully operational.
