Electric shunter, registered as "tractor", Te 2/3 # 31 of the Verein Historische Eisenbahn Emmental (VHE) in Huttwil, is pulling a mixed passnger/freight train from Summiswald-Grünen to Huttwil, between Gammenthal and Griesbach on the Emmental railway. The vehicle called "Halbesel" (half donkey) was built in 1925 as CFe 2/6 # 784 passenger railcar for the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Bahn (BLS), but was converted to Te 2/3 # 31 in 1953 already and then used for freight trains and construction works.
