Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington 24"-gauge 0-4-4T #9 passes by Bridgton & Saco River 2-4-4T #8 as it enters Sheepscot with a runby. The #9 is the last surviving engine from the Sandy River & Rangely Lakes, the Kennebec Central and the WW&F and is only one of two surviving Portland Co. built engines, while the #8 is one of two surviving B&SR engines and the heaviest two-footer built. It is owned by the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum but is stored at the WW&F and while not operational currently, there are plans to eventually get it running again. Taken as part of a consolation photoshoot offered by the WW&F to photographers after severe wildfire risk forced rescheduling of a photo charter.
