CSXT W303, a rail train, drops rail inside the Schenley Tunnel on CSX's P&W Subdivision. The east portal exits right between the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. This was the farthest they reversed into the tunnel to drop rail; of course, the engine stayed in the shadows. The P&W Sub branches off the Pittsburgh Sub at CP Braddock and ends around Polish Hill in Pittsburgh at CP Field. P&W trackage west of AVR's Glenwood yard is mainly only traversed by Amtrak's Floridian and a few AVR locals out of Glenwood Yard, so seeing CSX this far up in preparation to maintain their line was cool to see.
