Rolling into the Martinez station is Amtrak train 715, a westbound Bakersfield to Oakland-Jack London San Joaquin. CDTX 2010, a California Department of Transportation owned, Alstom-built F59PHI leads this train, consisting of six Siemens-built "Venture" cars, with CDTX Non-Powered Control Unit 90278 (formerly Amtrak F40PH 278) on the rear. This train arrived 25 minutes late. The two tracks closest to the station are Union Pacific's Tracy Sub, heading down the San Joaquin Valley, while the two mainlines farthest from the station are UP's Martinez Sub heading east to Roseville, just beyond Sacramento.
