With the 2000-foot (or higher) peaks of Pinnacles Nation Park rising in the distance, Amtrak train 11, the Seattle WA to Los Angeles CA Coast Starlight, skirts a large swath of farmland in Elsa, an unincorporated community just north of King City, in Salinas County. This day's eight-car train is powered by General Electric P42DC 135 and Siemens ALC-42 345. This time of year, these farms are very dusty, as evidenced by the cloud of fine particulates following the train. (King City, California – June 20, 2025)
