After seeing 301 in some of the most backlit conditions possible last December, the opportunity to shoot this unit in good light finally presented itself, but not without at least some frustration.
I had a time constraint this afternoon, and after watching P097 run on-schedule all morning, I figured it would be early once it hits the soflo drop-off only stops. Alas, CSX had other plans, as they hit 97 with a 65mph speed restriction for the entire 100+ mile journey down the Auburndale Subdivision, turning an originally forecasted 30 min early arrival into a 15 min late OS at CP Pineapple in Boca Raton.
Nonetheless, the hunt for 301 is officially over.
