Remarks & Notes
Day One Heritage on the Silver Meteor. Amtrak ALC-44 Charger 301 is seen leading train 97(15) south through Orlando, FL, bound for Miami. As part of Amtrak's 50th Anniversary celebration, the locomotive was repainted in "day one" scheme, a livery worn exclusively by E8 locomotive 4316 on May 1, 1971 when Amtrak first came into existence.
