Remarks & Notes
A westbound empty coal train has an interesting consist as it heads west towards Lincoln in southern Iowa. The train is about to pass the Amtrak depot in Mount Pleasant in 1994. A sweet-looking OWY leads the charge, along with an oddball Superfleet Dash 8. I am sure that Dash 8 unit would be pulled at Lincoln for "normal" coal power, as the eastern railroad must have grabbed what they had to deliver it back. Scanned slide from 9-23-94.
