| Northbound by the Highway. With the P&LE trailing third, this empty coal proceeds northbound through the Town of Irmo, formed when the Columbia, Newberry & Laurens ran its track through the area in the 1890s. The town was named for two officers of the railroad--Iredell and Moseley. |
