Brand new Flirt Evo RABe 531 # 401 and # 404 from StadlerRail for Thurbo. The “t” of the previously used colorful lettering has now also been applied to the front of the vehicle. Thurbo is a subsidiary of SBB for regional transport in eastern Switzerland, 10% is held by the canton of Thurgau. Thurbo will receive a total of 107 of these new Flirt Evo trains, which will replace the previously used RABe 526 articulated railcars from 2026. There will be 30 of these three-part RABe 531 # 401 to # 430 with approval for Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Then 58 three-part RABe 533 # 301 to # 358 with approval for Switzerland only, and a further 19 four-part RABe 533 # 501 to # 519 with approval for Switzerland.
