Hitachi Rail built bi-mode diesel/electro highspeed train of the class 802 of the Great Western Railway is runing along the sea wall between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren, as 1A89 from Paignton to London Paddington. Since the severe storm damage in 2014, when the line was completely closed for weeks, an £80 million project to upgrade the section was completed last year. In this part, the sea wall was raised up to 2,5 meter and strengthened.
