On the day exactly 125 years after the inauguration of the Oensingen-Balsthal Railway (OeBB), both the scheduled freight train and an additional extra freight train were run with steam on this day. SBB Historic's “Mallet” Ed 2x2/2 # 196, built in 1893 by Maffei in Munich for the Swiss Central Railway (SCB) and now stationed in Balsthal, was used. Here, the 0-4-4-0 "Mallet" steam locomotive of 1893 leaves the siding of the loading station near Klus station.
