| DENVER CO March 10 1980 — Burlington Northern SD9 6221 (sub-lettered for Colorado and Southern) awaits an assignment. EMD built the unit for the C&S as No. 826 in January 1957. It later became C&S 6217. It was then renumbered to BN 6221. Upon creation of the BNSF the unit was renumbered BNSF 6104. Complicated history. Corrections welcome. My photo. |
