A westbound BNSF coal train climbing Mullan Pass west of Helena, Montana, is about to meet an eastbound BNSF freight at the siding of Austin very late in the afternoon of June 29, 2021. Both trains will keep rolling and are taking advantage of this more than four-mile long section of double track that Montana Rail Link created when they moved the west switch of Austin siding up the hill to Weed.
