Staten Island Railroading. MTA Staten Island Railway (SIR) R44 no. 440 (St. Louis Car Co., 1971-1973) is the lead motor on an eastbound train seen approaching Clifton Station. Also visible are three of the railway's four BL20G locomotives (Brookville, 2008); the railway's R71 de-icer car RD344 (née R22 no. 7441); a pair of cabooses; various other work equipment; SIR 466, which has been stripped of parts; and the B&O color position light signals used on the railway.
