Near the end of sunlight on September 16, 2013, an eastbound BNSF coal train grinds upgrade on Crawford Hill below Belmont, Nebraska. The train is working through a large horseshoe curve, with a set of Crawford-based manned helper engines pushing against the rear DPU unit in the background.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
