In the early morning hours of December 3, 2022, the Newberry Road bridge west of Durand, MI on the CN Flint Sub caught fire and burned to the ground. The news came as a shock to both myself and many other locals who frequented the bridge. It will certainly be missed. Hopes are high that it will be replaced, but that has yet to be determined.
