Traditional Advent trip of the "Verein Pro Salonwagen" (association for the preservation of the parlor cars) with all saloon, bar and traditional dining cars of the Rhaetian Railway, this time hauled by a modern locomotive, Ge 4/4 III # 647 "Grüsch". The trip led from Chur via Thusis and the Albula line to Samedan, then through the Engadine to Scuol-Tarasp, and through the Vereina tunnel and the Prättigau back to Landquart and Chur. The train crosses the 137 meter long and 35 meter high Schmittentobel Viaduct between Alvaneu and Filisur. The train is formed as follows: Baggage car D # 4051, GOURMINO dining cars WR # 3811 and # 3810, saloon car "Benerwagen" As # 1161 (built 1929), saloon cars As # 1141 (quite freshly renewed) and As # 1142 (built 1931), piano/bar car WR-S # 3820 (built 1928), saloon cars As # 1143 and # 1144 (built 1931), GOURMINO dining cars WR # 3812 and # 3813.
