Kansas City Southern MP15DC Nos. 4363 and 4365 pull two boxcars by the power plant approaching Oak Street on KCS’s River Quay Spur at Kansas City, Missouri, on September 16, 1990. KCS bought four MP15DCs, Nos. 4363-4366 from EMD in August 1975, so this is half the fleet at the time. A fifth unit came from the Graysonia, Nashville & Ashdown purchase in 1998, becoming KCS No. 4367. EMD’s MP15DC is similar to the SW1500, but are 3 feet longer and rides on Blomberg trucks. This spur no longer exists today.
A rail tribute to the Canadian Pacific as it was before. The KCS as it was then and now, the combined CPKC system as it continues growing today. All credit goes to the original photographers and their talents. Many thanks for your efforts. Please enjoy
