| The elegant fourcylinder compound 4-6-0 express train steamlocomotive A 3/5 # 705 of SBB Historic, built in 1904 by the SLM Winterthur, is on another test run "round the Lägern" after the large revision. The train is running full speed between Siggenthal-Würenlingen and Döttingen, with Ae 6/6 # 11407 "Aargau" of association Mikado 1244 as load in the rear. The only operational express train steamlocomotive of Switzerland is on long term loan from SBB Historic to the association steam group Zürich (VDZ Verein Dampfgruppe Zürich) since 2018. Members of the VDZ have extensively renovated the locomotive over 4 years, with work on the boiler (replacement of all smoke and boiling tubes and all crown stays) being the main focus. |
