Great Northern 400, "Hustle Muscle" returns to the Twin Cities for display at St. Paul Union Depot for "Train Days". The GN 400 for much of the 2000s was housed just up the road at MTM's Jackson Street Roundhouse. But after getting an SD45-2 engine replacement in 2019, GNRHS moved Hustle Muscle back to Duluth, where it spent much of its time after retirement from BN several decades ago. This is Hustle Muscle's third appearance at Union Depot Train Days, tied-most with Milwaukee Road 32A. The GN 400 wasn't alone as SD45s go, LSRM's freshly restored NP 3617 also made the trip for Train Days. Thanks to all the organizers and participants of Union Depot Train Days to make this fun event a reality again in 2022.
