Rising to the Right-of-Way.
MBTA 3886 is leading a two-car Green Line (D) train bound for Riverside, rising from the trolley tunnel onto the surface at Fenway Station. Uniquely for the Green Line branches, the D branch is entirely grade-separated, running on the alignment of the former Boston & Albany Railroad, which until 1956 provided commuter rail service along the "Highland Branch" to and from South Station.
The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.
