Another day, another train tied down at Jersey this time it's NS 265 (Charlotte,NC-Sheffield,AL). Another example of not having enough crew to keep freight moving on a heels of a global pandemic, and the after affect of Norfolk Southern's version of the Precision Schedule Railroading practice. NS 265 is waiting for the dog catcher to board whenever they go on duty just to take the Intermodal train several miles into the terminal to swap crews at 23rd Street. Also for some strange, and unusual reason this NS 265 is only running to Sheffield, AL instead of a straight shot to the BNSF Railway in Memphis, TN. According to the ever changing profile only on Sundays, and Mondays the intermodal freight is only profiled for Sheffield, we can only assume that BNSF isn't ready for the train, or this is Norfolk Southern's way of combining two days of this specific intermodal freight into one large train, and run it to Memphis. Tuesday through Saturday NS 265 makes the straight shot to Memphis.
