Remarks & Notes
A US Army 80 ton switcher takes a flat bed through Fort Eustis to test the rails. This shot was over 8 years in the making. Ever since I had been doing reserve duty at Eustis I had wanted this shot. A beautiful tree tunnel cuts through the center of post. However, trains don't run often down this path, and it comes down to sheer luck. I just happened to have my camera on a day I just happened to need to go to Fort Eustis, and the switcher just happened to pass by. Not the complete shot I envisioned because it was literally spur of the moment, but I am happy none the less.
